About Us

Who are we?

Sun busters was founded in September 2017 by  and Karl Hüllermeier and later joined by Pierre Nykamp, accumulating some 30 years of solar experience and representing over 1000 solar installations since commencement in the industry. Sun Busters has been the industry standard with regards to cost effective solutions to clients all over the country. Sun Busters has been key in completing over 1000 solar and backup power solutions in all 9 provinces in South Africa.

Karl Hüllermeier, founder of Sun Busters. The technical Director.
Karl Hüllermeier is one of the original founders of Sunbusters. Karl has decades of experience in solar and backup power solutions. Karl has overseen countless projects of hundreds of happy clients.

Pierre Nykamp

Financial Director
Pierre Nykamp, the financial director of Sun Busters.
Pierre Nykamp joined the team in 2019 and has been invaluable to Sunbusters with his in depth knowledge of solar and backup power solutions. Pierre has been clients go to man when they are in need of cost effective solutions for their specific requirements.
